Erin Ferree's teleseminar is on Nov. 21 - "3 Secrets for Designing a Pretty & Effective Brand That Converts Sales"

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." ---

John F. Kennedy
35th President of United States of America

I thought that this saying was appropriate for this coming week – Thanksgiving Week - Happy Thanksgiving and may the turkey be juicy, the stuffing moist, the trimmings delicious and the shopping successful.  According to statistics, this coming Friday is the biggest shopping day before Christmas, so I wish you “Good Shopping”.

Past Week’s Events …

The big talk of the week was Jeff Walker’s product launch.  Frank Kern, Andy Jenkins and Brendon Burchard joined him on the livestream which lasted more than three hours.

Also, James Twyman came out with a new book “Love, God and the Art of French Cooking.”  Available at Amazon.com

This Week’s Events …

Due to Thanksgiving most of the events are in the beginning of the week:

  • On Nov. 20 Lisa Garr of The Aware Show interviews Jack Canfield
  • On Nov. 21 Sheila Galligan interviews Jeffrey Gitomer as part of the “Go Big Online Summit.”
  • On Nov. 21 Christine Marmoy interviews Christine Kloser as part of “The Santa Coach Event.”
  • On Nov. 21 Chris Garrett speaks with Sonia Simone on the subject of “Teaching Sells Roadmap”
  • Erin Ferree speaks on Nov. 21 on “3 Secrets for Designing a Pretty & Effective Brand that Converts Sales”
  • Janis Pettit is also on Nov. 21 with “How I Tripled My Income and Build Expert Status …”
On a Personal Note:
Many of you know that I am from Venezuela, I have a Latin soul, speak Spanish, a language of the heart – direct and straight. I like to listen to Latin music, do not like jazz, like to dance, my favourite food being black beans and rice … and mojitos – so English presents a challenge at times.  I have lived in an English speaking country for over 35 years.  Recently I came across a paragraph that describes the challenges of English:

Let’s Face It:

English is a crazy language.  There is neither EGG in EGGPLANT nor HAM in HAMBURGER, neither APPLE nor PINE in PINEAPPLEENGLISH MUFFINS weren’t invented in ENGLANDQUIK SAND can work SLOWLY.  BOXING RINGS are SQUARE and a GUINEA PIG is neither from GUINEA nor is it a PIG.

And why is it that WRITERS WRITE but FINGERS DON’T FING, GROCERS don’t GROCE and HAMMERS don’t  HAM?  Doesn’t it seem crazy that you can make AMENDS but not one AMEND?  If TEACHERS TAUGHT, why didn’t PREACHERS PRAUGHT?  If a VEGETARIAN eats VEGETABLES, what does a HUMANITARIAN eat?

In what other language do people RECITE at a PLAY and PLAY at a RECITAL? We SHIP BY TRUCK but SEND CARGO BY SHIP.  We have NOSES that RUN and FEET that SMELL.  We PARK in a DRIVEWAY and DRIVE in a PARKWAY.  And how can a SLIM CHANCE and a FAT CHANCE be the same, while a WISE MAN and a WISE GUY are opposites?

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your HOUSE can BURN UP as it BURNS DOWN, in which you FILL in a form by FILLING IT OUT, and in which an ALARM goes OFF by going ON.  And, in closing, if Father is POP, how come Mother’s not MOP?
:-)
