"Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate."

John F. Kennedy, 35th President of the United States

This is a special weekend and one of remembrance …Sept. 11, 2001 –  the 10th anniversary of the destruction of the Twin Towers in New York.  It has been shortened to 9/11.  We all know where we were, what we were doing and whom we were speaking to on that fateful morning between 8.30 and 9 AM ten years ago.  We all remember the photographs of people covered with white dust, running from two big towers falling to the ground and with fear painted on their faces. Let us remember and send healing thoughts to all the people that suffered that day!

Calendar of Events:

We added 78 new listing this week to the Calendar of Events, containing valuable information at your fingertips and something I love to do – to organize all the event information into one spot so that I can help as many Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs as possible in their decision making with respect to event planning.

  • On Sept 13 Jeanna Gabellini and Eva Gregory talk about “Prosperity – Get Your Game On.”
  • Bernadette Doyle is busy the whole week with her “Selling to Corporates Success Summit."
  • Vrinda Normand talks about “The Irresistible Headlines That Sell” on Sept. 15.

An amazing group of seven women, The Chipsters, who are also IP Lawyers, tell us why companies with women in top positions are run better and why without Steve Jobs, Apple is doomed unless they get some women in their executive team. Click here to read the original article on Forbes.
I know this probably seems like an obvious fact to most of us, but how many of us actually live and exude this forward thinking.
They are saying Steve Jobs was a genius and in order to carry on this legacy for Apple the current all-male executive team is going to need to add some estrogen to even things out.   Statistics have shown companies with more women in management score better on the nine dimensions of company excellence. (Women Matter, McKinsey 2007)
So how do we get more women in management in companies everywhere?
Too often women do not ask for, or stand up for what they need or think.  They do not have confidence in their abilities.  The Chipsters have found that often time even women who are over-qualified, question their ability to do the job.
It is time to change that, we can all think of a person or two…or ten who are in a job they are UNDER-qualified for, and you know you could do a better job.  That should be your attitude for everything; you KNOW you can do this!

On a Personal Note:

It was Blue Melnick’s birthday this week and this is what Suzanne Evans posted on Facebook:

Since I was unable to share your birthday with you (we will celebrate soon!) I wanted to share the 10 reasons I love The Blue Melnick

1)  He always has a dongle

2) With pleasure he answers all my questions- even ones like-how do I turn on my laptop?

3) He sucks at water badminton

4) He does a mean Garth Brooks impersonation

5) He loves good food

6) The dirtier the martini the better

7) He believes in people beyond what they can see

8) He will livestream anything- literally.

9) He is super creative.

10) He is one of the kindest people I have ever met and being friends has made me a better person.

Happy Birthday - a little late. Tell me what you want. Anything.

LOL

Love,

Suzanne Amanda Evans

I wish you success and lots of laughter …

With respect,

Birgitte Melnick
